Vineyard: Stopham Vineyard
Our vines are planted on south facing slopes, this means we are maximising the grapes exposure to the sun and as we are at a lower altitude, this also means it's slightly warmer. We have free draining sandy soil at Stopham which helps with run off.

Viticulture
All of the grapes used in our wine are estate grown. All the pruning and training of the vines is done by hand. The training system used is double guyot. Soil is carefully managed and sustainable vineyard practice is at the heart of our winemaking. We use our water and energy very efficiently and as part of our drive towards sustainability we have moved away from herbicides and we are now mowing under vine. We only use pesticides when absolutely necessary.
Vinification
The Stopham Estate wines are stainless steel tank fermented. After fermentation, the wine is left in tank for 10 months over the winter/spring period, this wine was bottled in April 2023 No MLF, no oak to preserve the purity of the fruit.
