Description

Exuding a true sense of place, this single vineyard, still Pinot Noir is created from fruit specifically selected for its maturity and concentration. This wine has a wonderful ruby / garnet hue and displays perfumed damson with notes of wild strawberry and sweet spice aromas. On the palate there is ripe, red cherry, with hints of violets and mocha. It is perfectly balanced with an elegant structure and soft, caressing tannins.

Viticulture

A blend of low yielding Burgundian Pinot Noir clone 115 (85%) and 777 (15%) grapes were picked during the 2022 harvest.

Vinification

Once in tank and inoculated, the grapes were gently pumped over once a day for a period of two weeks. A component of the blend was vinified using the traditional technique of pigéage (punch-down).

Maturation

Once the primary fermentation was complete, the wine was drained off its skins into two-year-old French oak barrels, where it underwent malolactic fermentation. After four months ageing in barrels, the wine was lightly filtered and bottled in spring 2023.
